Selaphum Police Station — English Information

Emergency? Call 191 (police, nationwide, 24/7) · Medical emergency: 1669 · Fire: 199 · Tourist Police (English-speaking): 1155

What we can help you with

  1. Report a crime (theft, assault, fraud, accident). Bring your passport. You will receive a police report — needed for insurance claims and embassy assistance.
  2. Traffic accidents and fines — accident reports, fine payment at the station.
  3. Lost passport or property — we issue a loss report. For a replacement passport, contact your embassy in Bangkok afterwards.
  4. General assistance — directions, safety concerns, emergencies of any kind.

What to expect

  • An English-speaking officer may not always be on duty. Officers will use a translation app to assist you — simple English and patience both help.
  • Reporting a crime is free of charge. All police services are free.
  • We operate a strict No-Gift Policy: our officers do not accept gifts or money. Report any request for improper payment to the chief directly (see Complaints below).

Immigration matters (TM30, visas, 90-day report)

Immigration matters are handled by the Immigration Office, not the police station:

  • If you stay in a hotel/guesthouse, your host files your arrival report (TM30) for you.
  • For visa extensions and 90-day reports, contact Roi Et Immigration Office.
  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is completed online before/on arrival.

Complaints about officers

You may file a complaint in English. It goes directly to the Superintendent. Complaint form → Your identity is protected by whistleblower rules.
